"The Chinese Studies Scholarship of Hing Ling Community Services Association Inc"
Selection Scheme

1、宗旨 Purpose

“中文奖学金”旨在奖励对中国文化及中文学习方面积极进取并取得优异成绩的在澳兴宁学子，激励他们充分发挥个人潜能，不懈努力，不断进步，在社区中创造出良好的中文学习氛围。
“The Chinese Studies Scholarship" is designed to reward students in the Xingning (Hing Ling) community in Australia, who are proactive in Chinese studies and achieve outstanding results. It encourages them to fully realise their personal potential, make unremitting efforts, make continuous progress, and create a good Chinese learning atmosphere in the community.

2. 奖项设置 Awards

1) 特等奖 The Grand Award
2) 一等奖 The First Prize
3) 二等奖 The Second Prize
4) 三等奖 The Third Prize
5) 表扬奖 The Encouragement Award

3. 评选标准 Selection Criteria

1) 在澳大利亚大学期间， 就读中文专业（或类似课程）：

攻读中文学士学位：特等奖
主修中文专业：一等奖
辅修中文专业：二等奖
选修中文课程：表扬奖

(只可申请一次奖学金，不能每年重复申请）

Enroll and study in Chinese Studies (or similar) at an Australian university.
Bachelor of Chinese Studies: The Grand Award;
Major in Chinese Studies: The First Prize;
Minor in Chinese Studies: The Second Prize;
Elective in Chinese Studies: The Encouragement Award.

2) 澳洲高考中文科目成绩达90分以上 (Band 6)（其中：98分以上：特等奖；95分～97.99分: 一等奖；90～94.99: 二等奖）；如成绩未能达到以上标准：表扬奖
Australian university entrance examination Chinese subject ATAR score of 90 or above (Band 6).
98 or more: The Grand Award;
95 to 97.99: The First Prize;
90 to 94.99: The Second Prize.

Choosing Chinese as one of the HSC subjects: The Encouragement Award.

3) 在中小学（非补习机构）的中文科目成绩中获得A级成绩：二等奖
Achieve band A in Chinese subject in day school (not tutoring centre) (Award: The Second Prize).

4) 选读了中小学（非补习机构）的中文科目：表扬奖
Elective in Chinese subject in day school (not tutoring centre) (Award: The Encouragement Award).

5) 参加校外主流中文竞赛，如“汉语桥”世界大学生中文比赛，全国中文朗诵比赛等。

获奖者：根据竞赛成绩，授予三等奖及以上奖励；|
参赛者：授予表扬奖

Participate in off-campus mainstream Chinese competition, such as “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for students, National Chinese Eisteddfod (Chinese Recitation Competition) etc.
Winners: The Third Prize or above, depends on the results of the competition;
Contestants: The Encouragement Award.

6) 积极参与中国文化的推广活动或比赛且表现突出者，将获得酌情奖励.
Those who actively participate in Chinese culture promotion activities or competitions and perform outstandingly, will receive discretionary rewards.

7) 选读了校外的正规中文补习学校的中文科目且成绩优异者,将获得酌情奖励. (“正规”是指补习学校有注册, 师资, 招生, 考试等)
Those who choose Chinese subjects from an off-campus formal Chinese tutoring centre and achieve excellent results will receive discretionary rewards.(“Formal”means the tutoring centre has government registration, teachers, admissions, examinations, etc.)

8) 在同乡会各项活动中，比如中秋节聚会，圣诞节烧烤活动等，积极参与用中文表达的各种娱乐活动或者比赛，表现优异者将在现场获得同乡会的酌情奖励.
In various activities of the Xingning Community in Australia, such as Mid-Autumn Festival gathering, Christmas barbecue activities, etc., those who actively participate in various entertainment activities or competitions expressed in Chinese and achieve excellent results will receive discretionary rewards on site.

注 Notes:

1) 申请人必须是同乡会会员或会员的家属（申请人的父母，祖父母或外祖父母至少有一人是同乡会会员).
The applicant must be a current member of the Association, or at least one of the applicant’s parents or grandparents is a current member of the Association.
2) 获奖资格以本年度成绩为准
The qualifications for winning prizes are based on the results of the corresponding year.
3) 获奖金额及人数按当年情况调整
The prize money and number of winners are adjusted according to the current year.
4) 如果有学生达到和符合多项评选标准，则只以最高级别一项发放奖学金
If a student meets multiple selection criteria, only one scholarship prize will be awarded at the highest level.
5) 如有争议，以同乡会理监事会的复审決定为准
In case of dispute, the review decision of the Committee of the association shall prevail.
